Celestia’s father (Enos Curtis) raised his hand and commanded the wind to cease and for the boat to stand still in the name of the Lord. The wind did cease and the boat stood still until the men on the bank could get ropes to them to pull them to safety.
CURTIS, Enos
Enos live a wonderful life, enduring the trials of crossing the plains, becoming a Patriarch, and helping to build up the Kingdom of God in Utah. He helped to build the city of Springville, Utah, and went with Brigham Young to the South of Utah, coming back in the winter of 1856. He didn’t feel well that spring, but kept on working.

An internationally recognized authority in energy, combustion, and fossil fuels, Doug has consulted with over 100 organizations in the U.S., Mexico, China, Japan, India, Egypt and several European countries.
